Playland Child Development Center provides complete care for your school age child. Children are safely driven to and from school in a safe, insured vehicle. Children are dropped off and picked up at designated safe areas of the school. Breakfast is served daily prior to school drop off. After returning from school in the afternoon, children first wash their hands, then spend approximately 30 minutes engaged in homework or quiet reading. Individual assistance is given to each child in the completion of homework. Tutoring is available by special arrangement. We then share a healthy snack and have outdoor activities, weather permitting. During the school year, fieldtrips are scheduled once weekly, typically to the City Library or a park. We also provide exposure to arts & crafts activities on a regular basis.

In the summertime, as well as school teacher in-service or records days, care is provided on a full-time basis, or as scheduled in advance. During this time we pariticipate in more frequent fieldtrips, including museums, movies, bowling, movies, etc. All children in attendance participate in scheduled trips. Any additional fees are the responsibility of parents. In addition to trips, we provide a well rounded summer curriculum, consisting of science, cooking, and craft activities.
